At ~2:58PM Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 64 (White Valley VFD) for smoke coming from a house on Manordale Drive. Westmorland 911 also dispatched Station 22 (Export VFD), Station 63 (Clairidge VFD), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 87 (Harrison City VFD). Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters including Captain 20), with an additional firefighter manning Station 20 and Chief 20 going direct. Truck 20 was cancelled enroute after Chief 64 found the homeowner performing a controlled burn in the rear of the home. Truck 20 returned to station.
