At ~5:26 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 for the Activation of a Smoke Detector at the Murrysville Community Center. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (5 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 1 firefighter going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter manning the station. Westmorland 911 dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFD), Station 64 (White Valley VFD), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFD). The Station 20 firefighter responding directly to the scene found no fire, and determined that a fog machine being used for a party had activated the Community Center's Common Room smoke detector. Upon the arrival of Truck 20 and Engine 22-2, Lieutenant 20 cancelled all additional responding units. After an inspection of the interior and exterior of the Community Center, Lieutenant 20 released Truck 20 and Engine 22-2 for return to station.
