By Firefighter Mike Cline
November 7, 2018

At ~ 8:19 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at a Commercial Building on Reed Avenue. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (2 firefighters), with Lieutenant 20 responding directly to the scene, with an additional firefighter responding to Station 20 incase additional apparatus was needed. Westmorland 911 also dispatched the following units to assist Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFD), Station 22 (Export VFD), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFD). Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, and found no fire or smoke. It was determined that the fire alarm was tripped due to a cycling of electricity. Lieutenant 20 cancelled all responding units for return to station.
