At ~10:00 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to establish and support a Helicopter Landing Zone for an Aerial Medical Transport by STAT Medevac Aerial Ambulance Service. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters), and Squad 20 (Lieutenant 20). The Station 20 firefighters established the landing zone in the parking lot. Murrysville Medic One (Station 610) transported the patient to the landing zone from another location. Upon landing, the STAT Medevac Aerial Ambulance's crew treated and loaded the patient, then the aerial ambulance departed for the hospital. With the conclusion of the operation, Engine 20's crew dismantled the landing zone, and all Station 20 personnel and equipment returned to service.
