At 2:28 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for 2 brush fires by the Murrysville living tree sign. There were a few people there earlier to clear out debris and remove fallen branches, which were than put into piles to burn. Station 20 responded with 2 firefighters on Engine 20, while Sergeant 20 and another firefighter responded directly to the scene. The fires were extinguished based on a lack of supervision under the Municipal ordinance.
