At 7:32 AM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at the Murrysville Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (2 firefighters), with Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter at Station 20 in case additional apparatus were needed at the scene. Westmorland 911 also dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20:Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Lieutenant 20 and Engine 20 arrived on scene simultaneously, found no smoke or fire, and Lieutenant 20 established command. Command 20 cancelled all additional responding units, when it was determined that this was a nuisance alarm due to a malfunctioning detector. After discussing the situation with the facility maintenance director, Command 20 released Engine 20 for return to service and station.
