By Secretary Mike Cline
June 21, 2019

At ~ 8:44 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of smoke filling a house on Trafford Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Captain 20), Truck 20 (2 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), and 4 firefighters going directly to the scene (including Chief 20, Assistant Chief 20, and Sergeant 20). Westmorland 911 dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), Station 63 (Claridge VFC), and Station 170 (Monroeville #4 VFC). Engine 20 was the first unit on scene, Captain 20 established command, and found no fire or smoke coming from the house. Upon entry and investigation, it was found that the house had been filled with smoke from an automobile. While entry was being made into the home, Truck 20, Heavy Rescue 170, Engine 78, Command 610-3, and Medic 611 arrived on scene. Command 20 cancelled all remaining units still enroute. Station 20 crews ventilated the house, and rechecked the interior to ensure no other sources of fire existed. Upon completion of the ventilation of the home, Command 20 turned the home back over to the homeowner, and released all remaining fire/EMS units for return to service and station.

Units: Engine 20, Truck 20
