At ~ 11:03 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to a home on Windbrook Drive for a child who was caught in a wooden toy. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (5 firefighters including Captain 20), with Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the incident. Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established command, and found that a child had gotten a finger caught in a wooden toy. Rescue 20 and Medic 612 arrived on scene, and Rescue 20's crew used several hand tools to extricate the child's finger from the toy. After the extrication, the child was assessed by Station 610 EMS personnel. Command 20 returned all Station 20 units and personnel to service and station.
