February 24, 2020

At ~ 7:14 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision at the intersection of Sardis and Logan Ferry Roads. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20). Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the incident. Upon Rescue 20's arrival both drivers had self-extricated from the vehicles and had been assessed by Station 610 EMS, the Murrysville Police had established command with both vehicles partially blocking Sardis Road with debris and fluids on the roadway. Rescue 20's crew removed the debris, remediated the leaking fluids, and assisted the Murrysville Police with the regulation of traffic. Wally's Transport recovered both vehicles, and the roadway was reopened for full use. The Murrysville Police released all Station 20 and 610 units for return to service and station.
