At the request of the Murrysville Police Department, Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) dispatched Rescue 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), with 1 firefighter manning the station, to clear obstacles to public safety along municipal roadways. Rescue 20 first went to the intersection of School Road South and Treefoil Drive to remove utility guide pole that was partially obstructing School Road South from an incident earlier in the day. The Murrysville Police then directed Rescue 20 to Hoy Farm Road to remove a tree that had fallen onto utility lines, with the potential to block the roadway. Both sites were cleared by Rescue 20's crew, and upon completion of the detail, Rescue 20 returned to service and station.
