By Secretary Mike Cline
June 13, 2021

At ~11:36 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for the report of a transformer explosion on Gleneagle Drive. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (6 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 2 firefighters on station standby. Engine 20 arrived on scene, Lieutenant 20 established command, and found that tree vines that had intertwined with the electricity lines had caused a power line pole fuse to blow open. Command 20 relayed the West Penn Power Pole Number to Westmoreland 911 so West Penn Power could dispatch a repair crew. There was no electrical danger to the area, so Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.

Units: Engine 20
