At ~ 5:17 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a single vehicle collision on Roundtop Road. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (3 firefighters) with 2 firefighters (including Lieutenant 20) going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police to the scene. Lieutenant 20 was the first firefighter on scene, established command, and found that an automobile traveling in the westbound lane had lost control crossed the centerline and hit a tree off the eastbound lane of the road, ending up in a home's driveway. Both occupants of the automobile had self-extracted, and all debris was off the roadway. Medic 612 arrived and assessed both occupants, and neither was transported. Rescue 20 arrived, cleared the debris, and assisted the Murrysville Police with traffic control until Gombach Towing recovered the vehicle. Once the automobile was removed, Command 20 released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
