At ~12:41 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 87 (Harrison City) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at Hamill Manufacturing on Pleasant Valley Road. Station 20 had 4 firefighters (including Lieutenant 20) respond to the station to crew Truck 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations for the alarm: Station 3 (Westmorland City VFC), Station 7 (Paintertown VFC), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), Station 13 (Manor VFC), and Station 63 (Claridge VFC). The first fire unit on scene established Hamill Command, and found that the AFA System had been activated by wood dust in a smoke detector. Hamill Command cancelled all responding units, and Truck 20 remained in station.
