At ~ 3:22 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Meadow Gate Drive. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with 2 additional firefighters going directly to the scene. Engine 20 arrived on scene, with Lieutenant 20 establishing command, and there was no fire or smoke coming from the structure. Upon investigation it was found that the AFA System was being serviced onsite by the alarm company tech, and had been falsely activated during maintenance. Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
