At ~ 4:47 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision on North Hills Road between Meadow Gate Drive and Dogwood Lane. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters), with Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), and the Murrysville Police for the incident. Lieutenant 20 was the first firefighter on scene, established command, found that the occupants had self-extracted from the vehicles, there was debris and fluids leaking from the vehicles on the roadway, and both lanes of North Hills Road were blocked. Medic 614 EMS personnel assessed the occupants, and none were transported to a hospital. Upon Rescue 20's arrival at the scene, the firefighters remediated the debris and leaking fluids, and assisted the police in traffic control. The vehicles were removed by Gombach Towing and Magill Towing. Once the vehicles were removed, the firefighters finished cleaning up the leaked fluids, and North Hills Road was reopened by the Murrysville Police. Command 20 released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
