At ~ 1:31 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of William Penn Highway, just west of the William Penn Highway/Trafford Road Intersection. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (5 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), with Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 4 additional firefighters on standby at the station ready to deploy Engine 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police, and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found that both automobiles had pulled off the roadway into a parking lot with the drivers self-extricating from the vehicles, and no fluid or debris was on the roadway. Rescue 20, and the Murrysville Police arrived on scene, no fire/rescue services were needed at the scene, so Command 20 returned Rescue 20 to service and station.
