At ~ 7:22 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 for a report of a tree falling into utility lines at a house on Chestnut Street. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters), with Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and 3 firefighters on standby at the station. Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established command, and found that a tree had fallen across all the utility service lines for the home, and had also damaged 2 automobiles in the home's driveway. Command 20 relayed the utility pole number to Westmoreland 911 so the utility companies (West Penn Power, Windstream and COMCAST) could dispatch repair crews to the location to effect repairs. Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station. |
