At ~ 2:28 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a multi-vehicle accident in the eastbound lanes of William Penn Highway, across from the Jade Garden Restaurant. Station 20 responded with 5 firefighters going to the station to crew Rescue 20, and 4 firefighters (including Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20) going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One. Lieutenant 20 was the first firefighter on scene, found that the Murrysville Police had command of the incident, and no fire/rescue services were needed. Command 20 cancelled Rescue 20, which remained in service and station.
