| At ~ 11:54 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 78 (Sardis VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at Respironics on Murry Ridge Lane. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (5 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20). Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to assist Station 78: Station 102 (Washington Township VFC), Station 115 (Upper Burrell VFC), Station 183 (Renton VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Station 115, 78, 610, and 102 units arrived on scene, found no fire or smoke coming from the structure, the structure's occupants had evacuated, and upon investigation it was found that the AFA had been activated by the heating system. Respironics Command cancelled Truck 20 enroute. Truck 20 returned to service and station. |
