At ~9:53 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a residence on Lochner Court. Station 20 had a ready crew of 3 firefighters ( including Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20) at the station which immediately deployed Engine 20, and 5 additional firefighters reported to the station to crew Truck 20. Engine 20 arrived on scene, found no smoke or fire coming from the structure, with Assistant Chief 20 establishing command. Upon investigation it was found that a cooking accident had activated the home's AFA System. Command 20 cancelled Truck 20 before it departed the station, and Engine 20 returned to service and station.
