2-Vehicle Collision - Intersection of William Penn Highway and Old William Penn Highway

At ~ 10:43 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Old William Penn Highway/Plaza Drive (Wendy's Intersection). Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (6 firefighters including Sergeant 20), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the Murrysville Police and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) to the incident. Assistant Chief 20 was the first fire/rescue unit on scene, finding the that the eastbound lanes of William Penn Highway were blocked by one of the automobiles with debris on roadway, with the vehicle drivers being assessed by Station 610 EMS, and the Murrysville Police in command of the incident. Upon Rescue 20's arrival, its crew cleared the debris from the roadway, and assisted the Murrysville Police in traffic regulation. Gombach Towing recovered both vehicles clearing the eastbound lanes of William Penn Highway. Once the vehicles were removed from the scene, the Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 and all Station 610 units. Rescue 20 returned to service and station.
