At ~ 1:40 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 3-vehicle collision on Pleasant Valley Road, which closed the roadway to traffic. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters), with 3 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) going directly to the scene, and 6 firefighters (including Captain 20 and Lieutenant 20) on standby at the station with Engine 20. Assistant Chief 20's arrival at the scene found that the collision involved 2 motorcycles and a minivan, the Murrysville Police were in command, and Station 610 EMS were evaluating the vehicle operators. Upon Rescue 20's arrival, its crew and the firefighters who responded directly to the scene assisted the Murrysville Police in traffic regulation and remediated the small amount of leaking vehicle fluids and collision debris, as Station 610 EMS transported 1 operator to a local trauma center. Gombach Towing removed all three vehicles, and the Murrysville Police reopened Pleasant Valley Road. Assistant Chief 20 returned Rescue 20 and all Station 20 personnel to service and station.
