Residential Furnace Malfunction - Bren Dina Court

At ~ 5:27 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a malfunctioning furnace at a home on Bren Dina Court. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 4 firefighters (including Captain 20) on standby at the station ready to crew additional apparatus if needed. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found no fire or smoke coming from the structure, and cancelled all responding units except for Truck 20, Engine 78, and Medic 615. Command 20 entered the home, met the homeowner, found no issues with the furnace, and turned the scene over to Station 610 EMS to assess the home owner. Command 20 returned Truck 20 and Engine 78 to service and station.
