At approximately 2:32 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at Walkers Pet Hotail on William Penn Highway. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (2 firefighters), with Captain 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 additional firefighters at the station prepared to crew Engine 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC). Captain 20 and Truck 20 arrived at the scene with Captain 20 establishing command. No smoke or fire were coming from the structure, and upon investigation were informed that an employee had accidently activated the AFA System. Command 20 cancelled all responding stations, returned Truck 20 to service, and assisted the staff in resetting the AFA System.
