At ~ 8:30 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of Utility Wires down across the roadway on Roundtop Road near the intersection of Roundtop Road and Pleasant Valley Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters), with another firefighter going directly to the scene. While approaching the scene, Engine 20 encountered a West Penn Power Technician also searching for the downed wires. Engine 20 & West Penn Power found the downed electric lines ~ 200 yards east of the intersection, and the lines were down for several hundred feet, and across Roundtop Road. The West Penn Power Technician called for additional West Penn Power Assets, and released Engine 20. Engine 20 informed Westmoreland 911 that it was returning to service/station, and the Murrysville Police were informed of the road blockage.
