At ~ 3:45 PM, Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) received a telephone call that there was a Mulch Fire in the vicinity of Murrysville Cleaners on Old William Penn Highway. Station 20 responded with Squad 20 (2 firefighters including Captain 20), while 4 firefighters were on standby at the station prepared to crew Rescue 20. Squad 20 arrived on scene, Captain 20 established command, finding a small fire in a mulch bed. The firefighters extinguished the fire and Command 20 returned Squad 20 to service and station to resume standby due to the commercial structure fire in Salem Township.
