At ~4:20 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to prepare and run a Medevac Landing Zone (LZ) for STAT MedeEvac Aerial Ambulance Service and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Captain 20), Truck 20 (3 firefighters) and Squad 20 (3 firefighters including Chief 20 and Assistant Chief 20). Captain 20 established command, while Engine 20's crew set up the LZ. Medic 614 under Murrysville Police escort delivered the patient to the LZ. The STAT MedEvac Aerial Ambulance landed, its crew assessed and loaded the patient for transport to a Pittsburgh Hospital. Once the Aerial Ambulance had departed, Command 20 returned all Station 20 units to service and station.
