At ~ 8:22 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of an odor of natural gas near the horse farm on Cherry Drive. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters), with Chief 20 going directly to the scene. Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found a heavy odor of natural gas in the area, and requested that Westmoreland 911 inform Peoples Gas of the situation. Peoples Gas dispatched a representative to the scene to find the source of the leaking gas line, and Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
