On the evening of 27 July 2020, Pierce Manufacturing demonstrated their Ascendant 100 ft. Heavy-Duty Aerial Tower to the firefighters of Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company #1 (MVFC#1) at the Station 20 Fire Grounds. Truck 20 is nearing the end of its initial 20-year service life, and MVFC#1 is determining its requirements for a replacement unit that will meet the future firefighting needs of the Murrysville-Export Area. Over the next several months, MVFC#1 has arranged for several of the major manufacturers of Aerial Ladder/Tower Firefighting Units to demonstrate their products to the firefighters of company.
