At ~5:22 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Goddard School, on Blue Spruce Way. Station 20 responded with firefighters going to the station to crew Truck 20, and Captain 20 going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) to assist Station 20. Captain 20 arrived on scene, established command, found no smoke or fire coming from the structure, and held Truck 20 in station. Upon investigation, it was determined that a child had accidentally pulled an alarm box. Command 20 cancelled all responding units, and assisted the staff in resetting the AFA System.
