At ~ 3:44 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Franklin Regional Middle School. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20) with an additional firefighter/engineer on standby at the Station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following stations to support Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 9 (Level Green VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Truck 20 arrived on scene, with Assistant Chief 20 establishing the command, with no fire or smoke observed from the structure. Upon entry it was found that a dirty detector in the HVAC System had tripped the structure's AFA System. Command 20 returned all other responding units, and recommended that the School Maintenance Staff contact the AFA System Provider to clean the system. Command 20 returned Truck 20 to service and station.
