At ~ 8:28 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at the European Wax Center in the Maple Commons Shopping Plaza. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (2 firefighters), with 2 firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC, Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, found no smoke or fire coming from the structure, and all occupants had safely evacuated the structure. Upon investigation Command 20 found that the AFA System had falsely activated, so responding units were returned to service except for Engine 20. Upon Engine 20's arrival, its crew used the Knox Box Key to gain access to the AFA System, which was reset. Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
