At ~11:53 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sardis Road and Logan Ferry Road. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters). Upon arrival at the scene, the firefighters found that the Murrysville Police had command of the scene, and Station 610 EMS were assessing the occupants of the vehicles. The firefighters remediated a small amount of leaking fluid and debris from one of the vehicles and assisted the Murrysville Police with traffic regulation, while Station 610 EMS transported one vehicle occupant to a local trauma center for further assessment. Wally's Transport recovered both vehicles, and the intersection was reopened for normal traffic. Rescue 20 was released by the Murrysville Police for return to service and station.
