The Westmoreland County Fire Academy conducted Pump Operations One Training for the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20), and the White Valley Volunteer Fire Company (Station 64) at the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company Station and Fire Ground. The training entailed the classroom and practical applications of the pump operations at the fire scenes using tanker and municipal water sources. This training is part of the 2020 Firefighter Training Program that is sponsored by the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company in conjunction with the Westmoreland County Fire Academy. Additional training classes will be held over the next several months to include the Essentials of Firefighting, Fire Ground Support and Hazardous Materials. This training reinforces the skills of the firefighters of local fire/rescue companies as they respond to fire/rescue incidents in the community.
