At ~ 1:15 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a down utility line at a home on Logan Ferry Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 firefighters (including Captain 20) on standby at the station. Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, and found that a Windstream Service Line to a home had fallen. Command 20 requested Westmoreland 911 inform Windstream so a repair crew could be sent to the scene to repair the line, and returned Engine 20 to service and station.
