At ~ 3:53 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of William Penn Highway in front of West Penn Plaza. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters), with 2 firefighters (including Chief 20) going directly to the scene, and an additional firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police for the incident. Chief 20 arrived on the scene to find Station 610 units as well as Director 610 on scene, both operators out of the vehicles, with no fluids leaking from either vehicle, and one of the west bound lanes open for traffic. Upon Rescue 20's arrival, the firefighters cleared a small amount of debris from the roadway. Once the debris was cleared, Gombach Towing started the recovery of the vehicles and Murrysville Police released Rescue 20 for return to service and station.
