Report of Oven Fire - Arlington Avenue

At ~ 1:16 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 64 (White Valley VFC) for a report of an oven fire and smoke in a residence on Arlington Avenue. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (6 firefighters including Lieutenant 20), Engine 20 (3 firefighters including Captain 20), with 4 additional firefighters preparing to crew Squad 20, and Chief 20 and Sergeant 20 going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 64: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 63 (Claridge VFC), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Sergeant 20 was first on scene, found that the oven had self-extinguished, and the occupants had evacuated the structure. Engine 64, Squad 22, and Engine 63 arrived, with Chief 64 establishing the command. Command 64 determined that sufficient assets were on-hand to remediate the incident, so Stations 20, 78, 87, and 610 were returned to service. Truck 20 and Engine 20 returned to service and station.
