| At ~ 2:55 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Tender Care Learning Center on Old William Penn Highway. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (3 firefighters including Captain 20 and Lieutenant 20), with Rescue 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20) on standby as it was clearing a previous incident scene. Engine 20 arrived on scene, with Captain 20 establishing the command. The Engine 20 firefighters entered the structure and found that the AFA System had a water flow defect which set off the system. Once the structure's keyholder arrived, the Station 20 firefighters explained the system defect, turned off the AFA system's water supply, and turned the structure over to the keyholder. Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station. |
