Report of Brush Fire - Murrysville Golf Club

At ~5:27 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a Brush Fire near the Murrysville Golf Club property. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Captain 20) and Rescue 20 (5 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 additional firefighters on standby at the station. Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established command, and found a contractors brush pile that was covered with earth was on fire, resembling a volcano. Engine 20's and Rescue 20's crews used an attack line and hand tools to contain the fire. Once the fire was contained, Command 20 turned the scene over to the Murrysville Police, and returned Engine 20 and Rescue 20 to service and station.
