Commercial Automatic Fire Alarm - Respironics

At ~ 2:10 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 78 (Sardis VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at Respironics on Murry Ridge Lane. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (5 firefighters including Chief 20), with 7 additional firefighters (including Assistant Chief 20) preparing to crew Engine 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 78: Station 102 (Washington Township VFC), Station 115 (Upper Burrell VFC), Station 183 (Renton VFC), and Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC). Engine 78 was first on scene, Deputy Chief 78 established the command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation it was found that the structure's AFA System had been activated during maintenance. Command 78 returned all responding stations. Truck 20 returned to service and station.
