2-Vehicle Collision - Intersection of William Penn Highway and Gates Avenue.

At ~3:04 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Gates Avenue. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (6 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20) and Squad 20 (3 firefighters), with Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and 5 additional firefighters on standby at the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police for the incident. Upon the arrival of Rescue 20, Squad 20, Chief and Lieutenant 20 at the scene, the firefighters found a 2-vehicle rear-end collision, with debris and fluids on the roadway, the Murrysville Police were in command of the scene, and Station 610 EMS assessing the vehicle occupants. Rescue 20 and Squad 20's Crews remediated the debris, and automotive fluids from the roadway. Gombach Towing recovered the non-operational vehicle, and the Murrysville Police released Station 20. Command 20 returned Rescue 20 and Squad 20 to service and station.
