At ~ 4:32 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to assist Station 64 (White Valley VFC) for a press on fire inside the structure at Arbco Industries on Borland Farm Road. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), Engine 20 (6 firefighters), Squad 20 (3 firefighters including Sergeant 20), with Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 2 firefighters manning the station. Westmoreland 911 dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 64: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 30 (Delmont VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 59 (Slickville VFC), Station 102 (Washington Township VFC), Station 63 (Claridge VFC), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), Station 112 (Jeanette VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), and the Murrysville Police. Captain 64 was first on scene, followed by Engine 22 and Chief 20. Captain 64 established the command and reported a working fire. Truck 20 and Engine 20 arrived, with Engine 20 standing by at the local hydrant, and Truck 20 ready to deploy its ladder. Station 20 interior firefighters joined the other station's interior firefighters in entering the structure, helping to extinguish the fire, overhaul, and ventilate the structure. Once the overhaul and ventilation phases were complete, Command 64 released Truck 20, Engine 20, and Squad 20 for return to service and station. |
