At ~8:27 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to setup a Helicopter Landing Zone at the Station 20 Fire Grounds to support Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) for the aerial transport of a patient by a STAT MedEvac Aerial Ambulance. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), with 3 additional firefighters on standby at the station. Engine 20's crew established and provided Fire/Rescue support for the landing zone. Once the patient was transferred from Medic 614 to the aerial ambulance, and it had departed the landing zone, Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
