Commercial Automatic Fire Alarm - Franklin Regional Middle School

At ~2:39 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm at the Franklin Regional Middle School. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters) with 2 firefighters manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 Sardis VFC), Station 64 White Valley VFC), Station 30 (Delmont VFC), Station 236 Holiday Park VFC), Station 170 (Monroeville #4), and Station 9 (Level Green VFC). Squad 22 was first on scene, finding no fire or smoke coming from the structure. Truck 20, Engine 78, and Truck 170 arrived on scene, with Command 20 returning all additional enroute units. Upon investigation it was found that a bad detector had activated the structure's AFA System. The detector was isolated, and Command 20 turned the scene over to the Franklin Regional School District Maintenance Department. Command 20 returned all units, with Truck 20 returning to service and station.
