At ~12:09 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at Redstone Highlands - Murrysville on Cline Hollow Road. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (2 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 4 firefighters at the station preparing to move Engine 20. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20:
Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 87 (Harrison City VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Assistant Chief 20 was first on scene, established the command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation Command 20 found that the structure's AFA System had been activated by a cooking accident. The facility staff reset the AFA System, and Command 20 returned all responding stations. Truck 20 returned to service and station.
