At ~4:45 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at a home on Ivy Drive. Station 20 responded with 4 firefighters gong to the station to crew Truck 20, and 3 firefighters going directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20: Station 9 (Level Green VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). The first direct responding Station 20 firefighter arrived on scene, established the initial command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation it was found that the home's AFA System had activated due to a cooking incident, and the system was reset. Command 20 returned all responding stations. Truck 20 remained in service and in station.
