| At ~6:37 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of tree that had fallen into power lines near the intersection of Laird Drive and Prospect Avenue. Station 20 responded with Squad 20 (2 firefighters including Assistant Chief 20), with 7 firefighters on station standby in case additional apparatus was needed. Squad 20 arrived on scene, Assistant Chief 20 established the command, and found that a large tree branch had fallen into the power lines due to inclement weather. Command 20 relayed the West Penn Power Pole Number to Westmoreland 911 so a repair crew could be sent to location to remove the tree branch. Neither the nearby homes or roadways were endangered by the tree limb, so Command 20 turned the scene over to the incoming West Penn Power crew. Squad 20 returned to service and station. |
