At ~ 4:46 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-vehicle collision in the Walnut Hollow Shopping Plaza. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (5 firefighters), with Assistant Chief 20 and Sergeant 20 responding directly to the scene, and 4 additional firefighters on station standby. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police. Assistant Chief 20 was the first firefighter on scene, finding 2-vehicles had collided within the plaza roadway, with debris on the roadway, and the Murrysville Police in command of the scene. Rescue 20 and Medic 613 arrived on the scene, and while Rescue 20's Crew cleared the debris from the roadway, EMS assessed the vehicle occupants, with Medic 613 transporting 1 patient to a local trauma center for further evaluation. Gombach Towing recovered both vehicles, and once the recovery was complete, Assistant Chief 20 returned Rescue 20 to service and station. |
