At ~ 8:19 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Blue Spruce Shoppes. Station 20 responded with 5 firefighters going to the station to crew Truck 20, while Lieutenant 20 went directly to the scene. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional station to support Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), and Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One). Lieutenant 20 was first on scene, established the command, and found no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Upon investigation, Command 20 found that a false activation within Moe's Southwest Grill had activated the structure's AFA System. Command 20 returned all responding stations, and the AFA System was reset. Truck 20 remained in station, and in service.
