At ~ 5:12 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at the Franklin Regional High School. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (3 firefighters), with 1 firefighter going directly to the scene, and 3 firefighters on station standby. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched the following additional stations to support Station 20: Station 22 (Export VFC), Station 64 (White Valley VFC), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 236 (Holiday Park VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), and the Murrysville Police. Truck 20 arrived on scene, with the senior firefighter establishing the command, and finding no smoke or fire coming from the structure. Medic 614, Squad 22, Engine 64, Engine 78, Rescue 64, and Truck 236 arrived on scene, and were positioned around the structure. The interior firefighters gained access to the structure using the "Knox Box" Key, and upon a search of the structure determined that a faulty detector had activated the building's AFA System. Command 20 returned all on scene units, and turned the structure over to the Franklin Regional Maintenance Department. Truck 20 returned to service and station.
